Moral and Political Views in Ancient Greek Philosophy

This course examines ancient Greek views on the moral and political dimensions of good citizenship and what it might mean to live a good life. The views of the Sophists, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, the Epicurians, and the Stoics are explored. PREREQ: 18 university credits. (lec 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both PHIL 2306 and PHIL 2305.
